How long do you spend at the wedding?

the amount of time spent shooting photos at your wedding depends on the package you pick.
for example: some couples like to have some pre-wedding shots taken before the wedding..
So I would arrive one hour earlier at the home or hotel of the bride and shoot a selection of shots.
and you might like me to stay until the first dance or fireworks display.
so it can be as little as two hours to several hours.

What shots do you take at the wedding?

It difficult to be specific, because every wedding is different and it depends on the package and time allocated to taking photos.
but I have a general list of shots to cover.
Example: pre-wedding shots of the bride getting ready
Detail shots of Dress, jewlery, shoes, dress, birdes maids etc
Bride arriving at the church/ceremony
Exchange of rings, candle ceremony,
Signing of the registar,
Group,family and friend shots
Cake cutting
First dance
Special events;fire works,lanterns etc.
This is just a small selection and there are many more impromtu shots taken throughout the wedding.

All you images are uploaded to the computer
they are given a basic adjustment, then they are reduced in size so that they can be uploaded to

What about copyright?

Many client ask about copyright. this is straight forward and sometimes casuses confusion and unecessary concern.

Copyright is a legal term used to describe the rights that creators have over their literary and artistic works. Works covered by copyright range from books, music, paintings, photographs, sculpture and films, to computer programs, databases, advertisements, maps and technical drawings.

Intellectual property (IP) belongs to the creator of the images,(oropix)
Anyone who owns a camera and takes a photo is the owner of that image.

When you receive your photos/files you are free to do what you like with these. you can print and distribute and share wherever you like.

Where copyright infringement becomes an issue is for example;
if the photographer at your wedding sets up a photo and creates a beautiful image and a large company or publishing company wishes to use that image commercially to promote or advertise their  product.  Then the publisher of that image requires premission or a licence from the creator (photographer) to use the image/photo.

Generally speaking this is never an issue and there is little cause for worry where you are concerned.

at the bottom of this webpage in the footer there is a link to copyright info.
